Design and Governance

The Reborn ecosystem implements a sophisticated multi-tier architecture centered around the $RBN token, which serves as both the governance and utility token. The ecosystem is carefully structured around six interconnected roles, each playing a vital part in creating a self-sustaining economy for humanoid motion data generation. The Reborn ecosystem's multi-tier architecture is further strengthened by established Web2 revenue streams, creating positive externalities for all participants. The commercial success of Rebocap™, their affordable $150 motion capture device, has already attracted over 200,000 monthly active users and sold 4,000 units globally, demonstrating strong market validation. This steady Web2 revenue from hardware sales and subscription services provides a stable foundation that complements the token-based incentives.
At the foundation of the ecosystem are the Device Operators, who manage and maintain the essential hardware infrastructure. Reborn issues three tiers of data collection devices: professional-grade wearables, VR headsets, and mobile applications. This tiered approach ensures data collection can scale while maintaining quality standards, with professional wearables generating the highest-valued data for robotics applications.
Data Contributors form the lifeblood of the ecosystem, generating valuable human motion data through these devices. They will be allocated 30% of all tokens. The reward mechanism implements a sophisticated weighting system that recognizes the varying quality levels of different collection methods. Professional Mocap users receive premium rewards, reflecting the superior quality and precision of their data, while VR headset users and mobile app contributors receive scaled rewards based on their contribution quality. This dynamic reward structure is further enhanced by an innovative on-chain limit order system, allowing Data Consumers to directly incentivize specific gestures or movements they need for their robotics development.
All validator types, including Authenticator Nodes, Indexers, and The Data Bank, receive 20% of the token allocation, ensuring aligned incentives across the validation infrastructure.
Authenticator Nodes serve as the quality guardians of the ecosystem, performing the crucial role of validating and processing contributed data. These nodes must maintain rigorous quality standards and stake $RBN to participate in the network. Their performance directly influences reward distribution to contributors, creating a robust quality assurance layer that ensures only valuable data enters the ecosystem. For authenticators all tokens would be dedicated towards them linearly over 4 years. Where initial reward pool will be distributed dependent on following formula. The remaining would be used as a bonus reward pool, where every month there will be additional rewards distributed to authenticators. In order to be eligible for rewards as a contributor you must first have purchased a license which will be originally sold through the node sale conducted by Reborn and also have the minimum required amount of Reborn tokens staked. If an authenticator fails to meet certain criteria set by Reborn, they will potentially have their stake slashed.
Indexers validate and organize data transactions, maintaining the network's operational integrity.
The Data Bank infrastructure acts as the secure backbone of the platform, providing sophisticated storage and labeling services for authenticated data. This component ensures that valuable motion data is properly organized, securely stored, and easily accessible for Data Consumers while maintaining strict data integrity standards.
Data Consumers, primarily robotics companies, complete the value circle by providing market demand and revenue flows. Their participation is uniquely structured through an on-chain contract tokenization system, where all agreements are transparently represented on the blockchain. This allows the entire ecosystem to understand and respond to market demands in real-time. The system supports both direct data purchases using $RBN and more sophisticated contractual arrangements with enterprise clients, all managed through smart contracts.
This interconnected system creates a powerful flywheel effect: as more Data Consumers join the platform, they increase demand for specific types of motion data, which flows through the on-chain limit order system to incentivize Data Contributors. Higher rewards attract more contributors and drive investment in better data collection devices, while Authenticator Nodes ensure quality remains high. The RebornDAO continuously optimizes this system through governance decisions, creating a self-reinforcing cycle of value creation and ecosystem growth.
The RebornDAO stands at the center of ecosystem governance, wielding significant influence over resource allocation and protocol development. The DAO takes inputs from both consumers and stakers to direct resources toward the most valuable motion patterns and use cases. It manages protocol fees and incentivizes crucial ecosystem contributions, from academic research to content creation for VR/MoCap applications.
The RebornDAO represents the cornerstone of our decentralized governance structure, embodying our commitment to community-driven decision-making and protocol evolution. Token holders can participate in governance through a sophisticated staking mechanism that implements a quadratic voting system, ensuring both fair representation and protection against plutocratic control.
Staking plays a central role in our governance model, with staking periods ranging from 1 week to 104 weeks.
Longer staking commitments are rewarded with greater voting power through a time-weighted multiplier, encouraging long-term alignment with the protocol's success. This approach creates a strong foundation for sustainable governance while mitigating the risk of short-term profit-seeking behavior.
The DAO's scope encompasses crucial protocol parameters, including reward distributions, authenticator node requirements, data quality standards, and the allocation of ecosystem resources. A unique feature of our governance model is the ability for stakers to participate in curating valuable motion patterns through a bi-weekly voting mechanism, directly influencing the protocol's data generation priorities.
Within Reborn, via governance fee distribution can be voted in after the protocol has been live for more than 6 months. After the 6 month period the rewards accumulated inside the rebornDAO can be distributed pro rata and then constantly distributed to stakers, authenticators and data contributors.
